SUPERMOON CYCLE UK 2011

This is a selection of images from the 'supermoon' cycle of Saturday 19th March 2011, where the moon is closer to the Earth than at any point for the last 18 years at a distance of only 221,565 miles.

At it's peak it may appear 14 times larger and 30 times brighter than the average full moon dubbing it a Supermoon.
